Hot Air Balloon Ride Moab – Arches & Canyonlands

Hot Air Balloon Ride Moab – Arches & Canyonlands

The best way of travel, however, if you aren’t in any hurry at all, if you don’t care where you are going, if you don’t like to use your legs, if you don’t want to be annoyed at all by any choice of directions, is in a balloon. In a balloon, you can decide only when to start, and usually when to stop. The rest is left entirely to nature. William Pene du Bois, The Twenty-one Balloons.

While I was in Moab, UT I wanted to go on a hot air balloon. I just love floating along in a balloon! I went with Canyonlands Ballooning. Lou Bartell, the owner, is an awesome pilot and guide! He has 22 years of experience and knows the area very well.

We took off just in Moab after sunrise and flew between Arches and Canyonlands National Parks on some BLM free government lands. It was spectacular; a great way to get a different view!

I’m not an early riser but it was worth it!
